Construction of Nduli Airport set to kick-off in Tanzania that will boost the economic of the nation

The construction of Nduli airport is set to kick-off after completion of feasibility study. Meanwhile the Tanzania government has set aside funds to kick start the construction of the Airport.

Deputy Minister of Works, Transport and Communications, Joseph Kwandikwa said “The airport project is yet to kick start. He also said that the reason is because it need a warrant for the construction of a jet fuel station at the project site.”

The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority has meanwhile issued licence to certain private companies. The licence will enable them to offer jet fuel once the airport becomes operational. Meanwhile the airport will be located 13 km northeast of the municipality. It will serve Iringa and the surrounding Iringa Region with the airport’s single runway lies parallel to the A104 trunk road.

The airport will help boost the economic of the Iringa region and also the country.
